I did a package with Madeira Island Tours, they organised 2 levada walks, 2 tours and a return airport transfer for me. Later on, I also added the nuns valley tour. My experience with them was excellent. Rosa, in the office, organised everything very well by e-mail contact and although I did some rescheduling and changed locations for different pick up points, everything was perfectly organised. All tour- & hiking guides, and the drivers, were very correct & friendly. I can recommend this company to all travellers for competitive prices & excellent service. Will book again with them on my next visit to Madeira.

Having seen the professionalism and friendliness of our airport transfer driver (Pedro) we hired him for two 4/5 hour private taxi tours of the west and east of Madeira. This was the best decision we (4 of us) could have made. Pedro is from Madeira and his insight and love of the island was passed with ease to us to make the most incredible use of our limited holiday time. He was an excellent safe driver (in lovely safe, comfortable and clean vehicles I might add) in taking us to many or the 'standard sights' but often took us off the beaten track to places only a local would know whilst imparting information, stories and hints you couldn't buy. We would never have experienced what he gave us and we cannot recommend the company highly enough. Pedro is an absolute superstar and you will not be left wanting by a company that recruits and retains such quality.

We booked a half day private tour with this company for three people. Emailed one afternoon, got an immediate response and a trip was booked for the following day. The driver was very prompt and the car was more than big enough for a large family. The driver will take you where you want to go, time allowing. We asked him to take us to the places he thought we would like and we weren’t disappointed. Plenty of time for coffee, beer or food. The price we paid was exceptional value. I’m not sure it would have been cheaper if we had bought a trip from one of the many tour offices where you go on a coach with many others. Will definitely use them on our next trip to Madeira.

Fantastic! We did the west of the island tour yesterday and in spite of the weather (torrential rain at times and a lot of low cloud) our driver Roy and guide Christian, made it a great day out. They adjusted the itinerary ( after asking agreement of the group) to suit the weather conditions. They even slotted in a stop at a traditional Poncha bar since it was just raining too hard to make one of the stops. The guide was really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the driving felt really safe around some really windy steep roads. The trip was tremendous value for money - a very full day out, leaving before 9 and returning after 6. Plenty of stops and a decent lunch break. We were certainly impressed and would definitely book with this company, guide and driver again.
