Cabo Girão SkyWalk
The tour ascends to the world’s second-highest sea cliff (580m), offering breathtaking views of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. Erosion has sculpted caves and terraces, with locals cultivating picturesque terraced gardens along the coast.

São Vicente
Nestled between basaltic lava on the North Coast, Sao Vicente boasts narrow streets, ancient homes, and a 17th-century church. Nearby, a coastal park showcases Madeira’s endemic flora. Explore volcanic caves, though currently closed.
Ponta Delgada
Head through the pretty São Vicente village to reach the lovely Ponta Delgada. Surrounded by green mountains, this calm fishing village has the Bom Jesus church by the sea and a modern lido complex. Passing through “Boaventura,” enjoy the beautiful views.
Cabanas Viewpoint
From Boaventura, the old road to Arco de Sao Jorge is one of the most dramatic in Madeira. Passing through an old tunnel we reach Arco de São Jorge, a lush farmland with vineyards. After several hairpin bends we reach, Cabanas Viewpoint, also known as Miradouro da Beira da Quinta. The houses of Arco de São Jorge and the Rose garden lay small and far below. You can admire the beautiful north-western coast line as far as Porto Moniz.
Santana
Next, visit the charming village of Santana, showcasing domestic and agricultural richness. Green terraced fields and orchards adorn the landscape, with unique triangular thatched buildings once used as cow sheds. Explore their spacious interiors.
Porto da Cruz
Driving down to the North Coast, to a rural village of Porto da Cruz. Located at the foot of a Rock called Penha d´Aguia and on the other side, steep terraced slopes. The only running sugar mill in the north coast is located in this village. Its brick chimney stands up high in the village. It has a beautiful sea promenade. This small village of Porto da Cruz has a maze of alleys and the former warehouses are being converted into cafes. Porto da Cruz is famous for its wine.
Machico
Machico Bay, Madeira’s discovery site by Zarco and Teixeira, features a unique valley resembling a sea and mountain-viewing balcony. It’s historically vital for its sugar cane economy and guarded by Pico do Facho, a peak named for its pirate-warning beacon.
Ponta de São Lourenço
Ponta de São Lorenço. The eastern most point of the island. The area around Caniçal and Sao Lorenço has a similar climate to that of the island of Porto Santo. It is noticeable that the nature vegetation is different here. The north and south coast can be seen simultaneously. On a clear day Porto Santo can also be seen. Beautiful rock formation can be found in this region and one of the coast plants, the ice plant.
